2 large IKEA PAX wardrobes built in Chapel En Le Frith.

This customer didn't have the time to build these alongside managing their own workload so they hired me to build these for them as they were paying for many of their items in a storage facility away from their new home. They were incredibly thankful for the work and have employed me to do many other jobs around their new home.

This customer had very old walls as well as tiled walls and tricky keyhole fixings in their mirrors. I have various wall plugs for every type of wall which sounds minor but many times I have been able to re fix items on walls that have failed due to the incorrect fixing as well as the tools and knowledge to make sure that the job is completed efficiently and with confidence.

Shed dismantle and new shed put in place in New Mills.

This customer is better than me with the camera! And her cat approves of the new shed, he has settled onto the roof and purring loudly.

Plywood flooring in Buxton

This customer urgently needed their floor overboarding ready for the floor installers as they weren't able to accommodate overboarding due to the many tricky cuts in this room. As they were having lino fitted it had to be completely flat and smooth around all areas.

The customer even left a nice note which I only spotted on the way out of the door.

Wall panelling installation in Whaley Bridge which looks fantastic with the half wall/half panel contrast.

Mezzanine balcony was overlooking their bedroom and as their child was getting older they wanted privacy for both bedrooms.

STUD wall framing built, boarded over and skimmed all by the same person... Me, instead of hiring multiple trades.

I also suggested soundproof insulation which gives fantastic thermal properties as well as eliminating noise transfer.

Customer in Romiley had an issue where when it rained there was water coming into her kitchen.

When quoting I could see big gaps in the brickwork. The 1st stage was to repoint the outside, by removing all of the old mortar and packing the new Mortar into the full depth and width of each brick.

We left it 6 weeks to make sure that before working on the inside there was no more rain penetration. After 6 weeks it was totally dry. I could then remove the sagging plaster, replace with new board and skim. A fantastic result.

This room needed complete darkness during tratement so secondary blinds needed to be fitted.

This required precise drilling of holes so that the window could still tilt to open without hitting the blind and also not too far away from the window frame as this would let in daylight.

It was completely dark to the point that I didn't dare move away from the light switch.

Customer in Hayfield

This customer had recently moved house and wanted to have a dining room which was previously used as bedroom downstairs. It opened up the ground floor letting in so much more light into the hallway and made it feel more spacious.

It's so nice when you complete a job and then I see the person recommending me across social media as well as word of mouth. To get that call that I've been highly recommended makes it so worth while that my hard work is being noticed and appreciated.

Customer in Whaley Bridge

Customer in Marple.

This customers sealant was peeling from the window and it had also grown mould.

A mould resistant silicone was chosen. With products like these that don't cost the earth I always like to advise the customer that if we go for a better product, they're not having to worry about having the same job done again and again. Yes things need maintaining but that Maintenance can be extended for many years using quality products. Having knowledge of what to do and what to use is crucial.

This customer had wobbly taps, split sealant around the bath and a shower that was cold.

As he was very busy at work all of the time he put up with this for months.

Along with a new mixer bar shower he asked me to install some new taps as well

There were 2 reasons for the leak entering into the kitchen. The pipework for the shower had big gaps which were sealed with adhesive for long lasting results, water was getting into the gap on the loose tap and the sealant was also letting water through when showering. The towel was used by the customer to wipe down the bath sides and underneath the bath where the floorboards were after every shower. Hard work!

Customer in Hazel Grove.

Coping stones were no longer bonded to this garden wall and completely unlevel.

All mortar removed from the top of the brickwork, stones cleaned, and relayed and repointed. Looks fantastic and now the customer can garden the borders without worrying about the stonework falling.

Customer in Glossop

I see a lot of this in bathrooms. Any high humidity areas need a lot of preporation before painting otherwise that wonderful hot shower can have your paint peeling.

For this I used Zinseer peel stop, Zinseer perma white which will never show mould for the products.

The loose paint was scraped off, filler used, then sanded to blend into the existing paint so that the flaky paint didn't show through the new coats of paint. The edges if the ceiling were also not plastered up to the tiling so the perimeter was also filled and it looks fabulous!

Customer In Marple

Every time the customer closed their back door the frame would shake and was pushing our the bricks.

As you can see the old mortar was fully removed, bricks rebedded on a fresh mix and repointed.

The doorframe was also resealed as well as new anchor screws added as the other ones had dissappeared into the broken brickwork.

Absolutely solid and waterproof!

Customer in Bredbury

Funky colours here chosen by the customers children!

Looks great as the walls were constantly getting really dirty previously painted in white.

My suggestion was to use a wipeable paint so that walls can be wiped down and maintained without rubbing off any coats.

Customer in New Mills

This customer tried to full all of the imperfections in the wall and later realised that they wouldn't be happy with the overall finish. The walls were skimmed which was a tricky job as it was a small room and the ceilings were very high but all went very well with the correct equipment.

Customer in Chapel En Le Frith.

This customer wanted to rent her house out but the estate agent advised her to do some work which would attract more interest as well as a higher rental price as she was not recieving many enquiries.

The walls were plastered ready for painting and since speaking to the customer she had secured a tenant a week later!
